In this episode, we’re interviewing Jodi McDermott who gives us some great tips on how planning ahead is key to getting everything done, why you need to be adaptable in any work environment, and the importance of building your network. Jodi also lets us in on how she prioritizes exercise in order to be her best self at work and at home.

BACKGROUND ON JODI
Jodi is the Head of Product Development for CEB’s Talent Management business where she is responsible for the software product development of CEB’s Talent Management Cloud. With over 20 years of experience in digital technology, analytics and product management, Jodi has worked at both start-up and established firms including comScore, USA TODAY, Visual Sciences and AddThis. She is passionate about building technology products with a strong emphasis of using data to drive user experience, design and the product development process.
She is an active member of NextGen Venture Partners Washington, DC chapter, an entrepreneur friendly venture group specializing in seed and Series A funding in the DC start-up space. From 2012 to 2015, Jodi served as a board member of the Digital Analytics Association where she served in both the Treasurer and association President role during her tenure. Jodi graduated from Pepperdine University with a B.S. in Business Administration and holds an MBA from American University with an emphasis in Finance and Management of Global Information Technology.
