As we all know and love, YouTube is a content hub for a ton of free videos, including exercise videos. In keeping with the January yoga trend (view our first yoga workout), we decided to try a yoga (or yoga inspired) video that you can do in the comfort of your home and without needing much equipment. Online videos appeal to us as we struggle with finding enough time to do it all, so sometimes a quick workout is a required compromise.
So, we tried a video from JessicaSmithTV called Flow-Yo – Full length 32 Minute Cardio Yoga Workout for Weight Loss, and here is what we thought.
Overall we thought…
B: this is a great hybrid video for someone who wants a bit more of a cardio workout than what traditional yoga provides. In a way, it reminded me of the Vinayasa yoga class.
T: I have to be honest. As Becca said, it is a hybrid of a cardio workout and yoga and I wasn’t that into the combo. I like each type of workout, but mixing them wasn’t my favorite.
I was surprised by….
B: how I didn’t watch the clock – at all – through this workout.
T: how a “yoga” workout for just 32 minutes could work up a sweat.
Would you do it again?
B: yes, definitely. Quick and to the point, and I got my sweat on. That is a success in my book!
T: I would not do this particular one again, but I would love to try another one as I really loved our vinyasa class; although it’s unlikely I’d get to class often with the juggling of childcare it took to do it.
In searching YouTube, we found some other videos that are on our short list to try soon — a video by SadieNardini called 20 Minute Weight Loss & Fatburning Yoga Workout! and Yoga Vinyasa Strong Flow by eFit30.
